Does this remove audio or just mute playback?

It removes the audio tracks from the downloaded file. Turning up the volume will not restore the sound. Keep your original file if you may need its soundtrack later.

Will the video lose quality?

The encoded video is copied without re-encoding. The container and file size can change, and some extra metadata or non-video tracks may not be retained. If the video cannot be copied into the supported output format, we show an error instead of silently reducing its quality.

Can I remove voices but keep the music?

No. This removes all sound, including speech, music and background noise. It does not separate vocals or selectively clean noise.

Is my video uploaded to a server?

No. The tool processes your file locally in the browser. The website and processing code still load over the internet. Refreshing or leaving this page clears the temporary result; a file you download stays on your device.

Why does a video fail to process or preview?

A container extension does not guarantee a supported codec. Damaged or protected files and memory limits can also cause failures. Try a shorter H.264 MP4 or VP8/VP9 WebM. A successfully exported file may play in a desktop player even if your browser cannot preview its codec.

Can I use a YouTube link or extract an audio file?
