INFORMATION / TERMS

A few ground rules.

Terms for using ChordFold and its browser-based tools.

Last updated: October 23, 2026

Using the service

These terms apply when you use ChordFold. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service. The tools currently require no account or payment. You are responsible for using them in accordance with applicable law and these terms.

Your files and permissions

You retain your rights in the media you select and any rights you hold in the resulting files. Local processing does not transfer ownership to us. Only process material you own or have permission or another lawful basis to use. Removing sound from a video does not grant copyright permission for its pictures, music, people or other contents.

What the tools do

The chord finder estimates chord labels and timings. Results can be wrong and are not verified transcriptions. Sample annotations demonstrate the interface and are not recognition accuracy claims.

The video audio remover produces a new file without audio tracks. Supported formats, preview playback and available memory depend on your file, browser and device. Other metadata may not be retained. Always keep the original and check the exported file before relying on or publishing it.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to infringe rights, process unlawful content, interfere with other users, introduce malicious code or disrupt the website. Do not misrepresent tool output as a verified or guaranteed result.

Availability and responsibility

We provide the tools on an “as available” and “as is” basis to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every file, or error-free output. We may change or discontinue features. You are responsible for keeping backups and checking that the tools meet your needs.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect losses caused by reliance on tool results, interruptions or incompatible files. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains local file processing and website data practices. External links are provided for reference; their services are governed by their own terms. The website’s code and third-party libraries may also be subject to their respective licenses.

Changes and contact

Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised date. Review them when using a materially changed service.
